1.) How did you find out/come across Indisposable Concept?
Instagram.
2.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
Enjoyable. I tried to really think about what I wanted to take a photo of.
3.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
I loved it! Forgetting what I have photographed made me that much more excited about getting the photos developed. Some didn’t turn out as I expected and others turned out better.
4.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
On roll one it would be the mountain photo of Makarska from the water. I love that it looks like a fake cinematic background – like someone has just superimposed it onto a green screen.
From the second roll it would be in the image of the book stall in Macedonia – I thought it was cool when I saw it but the image turned out much better. I love the man riding the bike and the reflection of this in the puddle, something I didn’t notice when I was taking it.
5.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Definitely – I’m living in Amsterdam now and plan to document some of my time there.
6.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
Maybe themed rolls, like a full camera used on landscapes, another on people, another on parties. etc.
7.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
I forgot to on both rolls… But there are plenty of photos of me in there anyway.
8.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
There was a few on the first roll I was disappointed with, I don’t think the quality was as good because it was in a cheap waterproof casing.
9.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
I would take more photos of people, I loved that about my second roll – there’s more subjects in the photographs.
10.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Sure, why not?
11.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment?
Yeah, that’d be cool.
