We call it the #ICMEETSERIES and thought it would be interesting to find out a bit more about the people behind the disposables. We asked a few IC contributors to tell us a bit about themselves and this is what we got in return…

Who are you?
Kiara Livesey – half Dutch, half English Australian.
Where’s home?
Bondi, Sydney Australia.
What do you do for a crust?
I work in marketing but am not working at the moment, I’m looking for a job in The Netherlands.
Can you tell us about your creative background?
I love photography and to paint. I paint for the people I love.
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
Stop waiting for Friday, summer, someone to love you. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of where you are now.
What do you do with your free time?
Paint, hike, read, sit on my phone and scroll through videos for an unnecessary amount of time.
Analogue Vs Digital?
Digital. I like the romance of analogue but I’m a bit of a perfectionist so digital allows me to have more control over the shot.
It seems film photography and disposables are making a comeback, why do you think that is?
I think people love the rawness and mystery in film. You take a photo and you can’t check it, correct yourself. It’s a point, shoot and hope for the best.
If someone destroyed all the disposable cameras in the world and you had the very last one, what would you capture?
The destruction of the cameras and events (crowds and individual people at elections, concerts, protests, parties).
What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully all of the above, adventure and work with moving to a new city and country. Holidays to neighbouring countries in Europe.
How would you describe your photographic style?
Take a photo of things that you find interesting or beautiful.
Who or what influences you creatively?
In interesting people and beautiful locations.
What’s the biggest issue facing the world right now? Worry less about….? Focus more on….?
Misinformation from the media, particularly in regards to immigrants, Muslims and the Syrian war.
Worry less about….?
How you present yourself on social media.

Actually listening to people.
Fave place to shoot?
Albania had many amazing landscapes and interesting people.
