1.) How did you find out/come across Indisposable Concept?
Pretty sure I was scrolling through Instagram and going through a couple photography blogs and stumbled upon your page. Did my research and fell in love with the idea as I had found my parents old film camera a couple weeks before.
2.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
oh, SO much fun. Felt like I valued the images so much more as you knew that it was crucial to find that deciding moment otherwise you’d wasted a shot. And it was a conversation starter for sure, I’d whip it out randomly when I was out with mates and they’d swarm to come and join in.
3.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
That was the most exciting part cause you felt like every shot you took had some value and when the photos were developed you’d forgotten by then what you even had on the roll of film.
4.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
Theres a whole bunch cause they’re all filled with great mems. But I love the one where my uni mate jack has got his hand in the Valcun Salute… Just a great shot.
5.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Oh hell yeah, I really wanna buy disposables in bulk but I’m not sure which are the best and how much money I should be investing in them as theres a couple pricey options out there… so if you’ve got any tips for that It’d be great 🙂
6.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
I reckon putting out challenges are a great thing, like submitting a disposable a week for a year could get you a prize or a feature on the site would be sick/ 365 collabs. Or just pop up a theme that people could follow… maybe including a certain object in one photo and make it kinda like a where’s wally would be sick.
7.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
Haha yeah it was quite a hard one to master, I’m pretty sure I dropped the cam a couple times before actually getting it (that was also a very drunk night so there were definitely a couple pitch black shots).
8.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I loved em. I took a while before getting them developed so I had almost completely forgotten what was actually on the rolls so yeah it was an awesome surprise.
9.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
Yeah I reckon I’d take a lot more candid photos of people around me rather than posed shots smiling. I feeling the ones where they’re caught off guard or posing over the top are the best.
10.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
HELLL YES!
11.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment?
That would be sick.
12.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Cheers for making this concept, I’ll definitely be sending in more flicks 🙂
