1.) How did you find out/come across Indisposable Concept?
I started a series not too long ago, a series where I put away my digital camera and shot with only disposable cameras. Through some research, I stumbled across your website, and I was immediately hooked.
2.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
3.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
It’s exciting! Mostly because getting the photos back felt a bit like Christmas morning, full of surprise!
4.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
Probably the image of my dog sleeping. I want to be that relaxed.
5.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
6.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
I would love to see more magazines from you guys! Perhaps something in print.
7.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
Not as much as I used to when I was in college. I will say this, I love that you added the “selfie” requirement though. It adds a modern spin to the project.
8.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
Very impressed actually. Prior to this series, I haven’t shot with a disposable camera since I was in my early teen years. It felt a bit nostalgic. I was especially impressed with the ilford disposable.
9.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
That’s a tough question! Maybe?
10.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Of course! I would enter regardless.
11.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment?
Oh yes! That would be freaking cool!
12.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Just how excited I am that you all exist! It is nice to see a collaborative group who shares a love and appreciation for disposables. I feel like a lot of people have an appreciation for film photography, but not many acknowledge the art of the disposable camera. It’s really a beautiful thing.
