Q+A with Rhiannon A

1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
I really enjoyed using the camera, it was nice giving up the control you usually have with other cameras and just seeing the outcome of the shots.

2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
I usually shoot using film cameras so it wasn’t anything unusual for me to not know how the pictures looked immediately, I actually kinda prefer it that way, it’s a much more exciting experience.

3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
Hmm I think my favorite photo would have to be of the picnic tables out in the desert with the metal coverings over them. I just thought they looked so neat all lined up like that and I think the final photo kinda looks like it’s on another planet.

4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Yes, definitely!

5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
Maybe have another concept where you still shoot film but perhaps allow people to use other types of film cameras. I just really love shooting with film and I wish more people could get into it too.

6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
That probably wasn’t my favorite part of the concept haha, but I still think it’s a neat part of the concept I just could have done better with mine. But there’s always next time 😀

7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I really loved them and they came out waay better than I thought they would.

8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
I’m really not sure, I would just have to see how I was feeling that week and how I felt to choose the way I approached it at that time.

9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Sure! But I do really like the way it’s set up now, not as a competition or anything.

10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
I would love that more than anything. 🙂
