A beautiful Rotifer – only wish I could get video – they are so active, and you just want them to get their food, internal organs pumping.

Fungal growth scraping from black mould (Stachybotrys chartarum) in the grit of the tiles in the shower – see Stachybotrys chartarum on Wikipedia for further information on this organism. Except for the non-blue image, the mould sample has been stained with Methylene Blue, which is responsible for the stunning blue colour.
