1.) How did you find out/come across Indisposable Concept?
I think I stumbled upon it on Instagram!
2.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
Very enjoyable! I was traveling at the time so that made it easier to use up the film quickly.
3.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
I use film cameras often and I LOVE the fact that I can’t see them until they are developed, it makes photography more exciting.
4.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
The picture of the large tree from far away on the river. I was on a float when I took these and the tree looked so amazing, almost better in person though. It was very warm where I was and it was also raining on us while we were floating down the river.
5.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
6.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
I gave my friend this underwater camera to hang on to it and I told her not to let go of the camera. By the end of the trip she somehow got the camera to detach from the rope it was on. So we almost lost the whole thing! But luckily it washed upon a shore not too far from us. Thank goodness.
7.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
Yes, it cut most my head off but that’s what you get without knowing where to aim! I like it, it’s honest.
8.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I wish some of the film was easier to see, a lot of it is really grainy but the day was super overcast and it’s an underwater disposable camera I was using so I didn’t expect them to turn out perfect.
9.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
Yes! At the end of the float I was on there was the most amazing sunset, but I used up the whole roll of film on trying to capture pictures of the people and us on our tubes.
10.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
I would, maybe not with this roll on the river though.
11.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment?
Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment. Yes!
12.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Colombia is beautiful. I took only film and disposables on the trip and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
