Best advice you’ve ever been given?
What do you do with your free time?
Free time – I wish. I have three kids and two jobs. I guess I try to combine family outings with photography.
Tips for making your ideas and dreams come to life…
Dreams come to life as a result of hard work. You only get out what you are willing to put in.
What inspires you to shoot film?
The aesthetic of film is my inspiration. It’s a tactile medium unlike digital. It forces you to be more thoughtful about each shot.
How did you come to connect with Indisposable Concept?
I became connected to the Indisposable Concept through Instagram.
How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
The experience of using a disposable camera was enjoyable. It reminded me of when I first started taking pictures. There was no such thing as digital back then.
When shooting with disposables/film, how does it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they are taken?
Not being able to see or edit the images was once again just a reminder of my early days of shooting, I’ll just have to wait.
Analogue Vs Digital? What do you prefer and why?
Both are as good as each other for me. Shooting film means you have to understand the basics of exposure, aperture and ISO and how light behaves in different situations which will make you a better digital shooter.
If someone destroyed all the disposable cameras in the world and you had the very last one, what would you capture?
I think portraits are such a powerful visual record to have.
What does the remainder of 2016 hold for you?
The rest of 2016 hopefully holds more recognition for my photos.
How would you describe your photographic style?
My photographic style is documentary/reportage.
Who or what influences you creatively?
Photographers who inspire me would be Robert Cappa, Weegee, Herb Rits & Markus Anderson.
Where do you find inspiration?
Life inspires me.
What’s the biggest issue facing the world right now?
Not enough tolerance of each other I think is the biggest issue facing the world – we’re so quick to pull the trigger without spending some time to try and understand.
Worry less about….? Focus more on….?
Worry less about – our differences
