Q+A
1.) How did you find out/come across Indisposable Concept?
I came across Indisposable Concept on Instagram, it came up in my explore.
2.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
I loved it. My friend and I took all of those photos in one day, so it was really enjoyable and so much fun.
3.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
I loved it, especially because we made the photos during the day into a fun shoot, and that night my friends and I hung out and we made it more genuine and in the moment and not posing as much.
4.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
I’d say photo 27 is my favourite because my friend and I laugh whenever we see it because she thinks she looks like Voldemort with no neck and I look like Michael Jackson.
5.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Yes! This is now my second roll I’ve submitted and I want to keep doing more, it’s fun, and I’m happy I have somewhere to share it now as I think people will get sick of me posting so many of these photos to my Instagram…
6.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
I don’t think so, I think this concept is already great and genuine, I don’t think you can improve on that.
7.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
I did, I tried to make it a bit different and do it in the reflection of my friends car, I remember I took a selfie using my arms once with a disposable and it just didn’t work, so now I stick to the mirror selfies.
8.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I was so so happy, I had a few failed attempts with 3 other cameras and when I saw that this one worked I was so relieved, I thought the disposable camera gods were against me for a while.
9.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
I don’t think so, I had a lot of fun with this roll of film.
10.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
I would, but I’m happy I have found a place to share my photos.
11.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment?
I would love that! I can’t ever imagine that even happening, but I guess if they were worthy of it, why not!
12.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
No, I would like to say thank you though for allowing me to share these as at one stage I felt like they’d never be shared with anyone!
