Q+A
1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
Enjoyable. Is nice to freely experiment to see what happens. Makes each frame an adventure and the results a learning experience.
2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
Was good. only problem was my viewfinder on the one I got did not represent the final frame whatsoever Which is why there are some of the same shot. bbecuase had little/no idea what i was shooting
3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
bc-10 (the hill with he dirt road) i like it as landscapes aren’t usually my thing. but it turned out well i think. plus is a memory of a great afternoon on the motorbike.
4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
For sure. One that is much more interesting and more in line with my normal style of work.
5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
Have people pick a theme for their role? not dictate it, but let them choose their own, as a self challenge?
6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
No, i hate them and I hate being photographed normally. having said that I do try self portraits, but they are not usually a standard type of photo.
7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
Disappointed. But wanting to shoot more with disposable camera to get ‘better’ results.
8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
Yes, would make more planning for the shots.
9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Yes.
10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
Yes.
11.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
This is slowly getting me back into shooting after a bit of a slow period. So it has been great.
