I moved to NYC from a tiny Oregon town of 230 people about a year ago exactly. I work for a major fashion line now and on the weekends I exercise my creativity via photos/alter egos…. Although I would never call myself a photographer, I am a tad obsessed with disposable cameras/film in general. The nostalgia is inspiring and haunting all the same, as it reminds me so much of my childhood. I have 6 older siblings (the closest one in age 9 years my senior) so I had many older influences and a fondness for all things “vintage” growing up. Sometimes I get caught in the vanity/narcissism of social media, which is so disappointing, but then I develop a roll of film and remember just how much more inspiring and authentic a simple film photograph can be. Your project is rad, hope I can be apart of it. There is one more roll of mine to follow, titled GC’s house party.
