Q+A

1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
Very exciting!

2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
I felt unsecured but yet exciting. It was so different from taking photos with digital cameras. The film are more valuable, since I only have one shot to capture a certain moment, there is no continuous shooting mode.

3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
The streets, the shops, the sky, the sunlight, the air of Melbourne are very different from my hometown (Hong Kong). I miss every single moment walking alone on the street in Melbourne and meeting random people.

4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Yes of course!

5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
Letting the photographers to add a caption, telling the story behind.

6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
Yes! I even tried to add light gal with my sunglass.

7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I was so happy when I get my photos. They remind me of the days in Melbourne. What I saw from the viewer is not what I took, so the images turned out are a bit upward or downward comparing to what I saw from viewer. Some failed with insufficient light source, but I still have that moment in my mind, I wish my memories stay forever.

8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
I wish I took more shots with people I met during the trip, as I do not know if I will see them again in the future.

9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Yes! SURE! It would be great if the prize is a flight ticket, then I will go travel again and take more photos.

10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
Yes! It will be awesome!

11.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
It is lovely to share the view of Australis from a girl living in Hong Kong. I really enjoyed the moment of this trip.
