Q+A
1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
I loved the idea of using a disposable camera. So marvelous!
2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
I have had experience with using film photography before, and italways makes me nervous wondering how exposures turned out, yet it’salso incredibly exciting!
3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
Cell 8 was one of my favorite exposures, not because of the way theimage turned out but because of my experience capturing it. This wasone of the very first tide pools I’ve seen where the water wasabsolutely crystal clear to the bottom. It was interesting to see asmany fish as there were (even if they were too quick to catch oncamera)
4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Absolutely.
5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
Nothing at all.
6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
I would have loved to, however I got so carried away with shootingobjects around me, I forgot to capture one of myself 🙁 I hope you’llstill accept my images.
7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I didn’t like the fact the camera produced a vignette around the cell, however I think this was due to the brand name of camera I selected.Other disposables I’ve shot with before did not have the same effect.
8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
The only change I would make is to shoot with a different brand ofdisposable camera.
9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Most likely not. I like the idea of having a level playing field foreveryone to participate. Some may feel intimidated to enter in acompetition in which prizes are offered, and it may prevent them fromwanting to showcase their artistic abilities. I don’t believephotography should be about receiving. I believe photography is aboutgiving and showing your world for the rest of the world to see.
10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
I am indiffent on the matter, however if you wish to show my work in agallery setting I give you my full permission.
11.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If you love my photos and wish to share them with the rest of theworld, please feel free! Just be sure to tag me! @connor1047
