I’ve just returned home from the trip of a lifetime. My sister and I travelled around Ireland, Scotland, England, and France. It was our first time overseas and I’m already longing to go back. I had so much film and of course, a few disposables always by my side. Seeing how people go about their lives on the other side of the world was so fascinating to me. Even just the way normal activities are carried out; ordering a drink, paying for food at the grocery store, lining up for a concert…so different, but still the same I guess. Using film has made me notice little things like that I think. It has slowed me down and helped me to appreciate the beauty seen in the simple things around me.
