Aloha, my name is McKenna L. and I am from Kauai, Hawaii. I loved this project and had so much fun doing it. When I was a young child, my mother would give me a disposable camera and let me loose. She taught me how to change the film and get it developed. Doing this project brought back so many happy memories. At first, this project was difficult. It stressed me out a little about what I should take pictures of because, unlike a digital camera, the amount of pictures I took was limited. Also, it was hard not being able to immediately see if the picture came out nicely. After a while, I let these mini worries of mine go, and decided to just have fun with it. I took my camera with me everywhere, and tried to capture the essence of my life, basically. I had a lot of fun with it, especially some of the looks I got as I busted out my seemingly outdated film camera. My 8 year old sister stole it out of my purse and tried to take a picture with it, but became frustrated because she couldn’t see the picture she just took and didn’t know what the heck a view finder was. It was fun to teach her. Thank you for putting together this awesome concept, I’ve already started on my second roll. With much aloha, McKenna L.
