Q+A with Haley J (Part 2)
1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
Well this is the second time I have done this challenge, and I have to say… they only thing that was painful was explaining to my friends what I was doing. But they know me and how I love pictures, so it was just second nature for me to be taking pictures of them.
2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
It made me question and worry about how the pictures would turn out.. although… because of this challenge, I have become more used to not looking at my pictures on my digital camera, and do my best to get the best shot out of one picture.
3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
I really love the picture of me in front of the tree in a dress, because 1. its green and 2. at the top of the picture you can see a black line cut right through it and add another picture to this one. I also really love the picture of the grass, dog and people, because for that picture i was at a movie in the park, and to take the picture, i went onto my back, and took the picture upside down. I also really enjoy the coffee shop picture, and the picture of my friends Mateo and Mitch in an ice cream shop, very funny. I actually enjoy this whole photo set, especially the one of Grant, and his silly funny face at Dairy Queen – we went to a VERY ghetto dairy queen and oh my goodness, i’m glad he was there otherwise I would’ve been toast.
4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
So far, everything has been phenomenal.
6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
Yes I did very much so!
7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I loved them and how they were all different and unique, and how it showed how crazy that week was.
8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
Hmm.. maybe… I’m not sure though.
9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Sure! As long as people can enjoy them!
10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
Yes, same as number 9
