Q+A with Nelson
1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
Simple, but anxious for it to be developed.
2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
Since this is my first full roll of film, I was hopeful and worried.
3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
The last one, it felt great to finally be done with something I had worked on for a week, it also shows the awesome dynamic range of film.
4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Yes! I recently got an SLR, loaded it with film, however I’m retiring with disposables due to the high cost.
5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
Nope, however it would be cool if you guys could make accessing the photos on the website easier (you have to click on their name, and then click again to preview the photos, a bit of a hassle).
6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
Sure! Helps people recognize the photographer who’s taking the shots.
7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
There was enough great to outweigh the crappy ones.
8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
Yeah, either get a higher speed film or stop shooting in dark areas.
9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
If the prizes were film or something like that.
10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
That’d be cool!
