Q+A with A-Lo

1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
I really enjoyed taking photos on the disposable. Not painful at all!!

2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
It was strange not being able to check or edit. I sort of had a vision in my head of how I wanted each shot to turn out…. & then hoped for the best!

3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
My favourite was bubbles at sunset, because let’s be honest… who doesn’t love bubbles!! And I really wasn’t quite sure if it would turn out at all!

4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Yes, would definitely love to do another roll.

5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
Perhaps a theme of some sort, relating to geographical location, or just people shots…. Or a certain object that has to appear in every shot?

6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
Scariest one of all. Selfies can be soooooo bad. Quick, pull out your blue steel face!!

7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
I was pretty happy with most of them. Sometimes the size of the frame was not exactly how I had imagined or the light was not so good.

8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
Well, practise makes perfect, so next time I would be a little more careful & think about the lighting a little more.

9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Definitely would!

10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
That would be cool, however, I don’t think any of my photos are good enough for that!

11.) Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
So great to see all the other contributions. It’s really interesting how different each individual’s rolls are, like what is important to them, or what they see on a daily basis. Such a diverse array of landscapes, people, animals & objects. That’s what I find the most fascinating about the indisposable concept. The big question I asked myself was, how can I capture my life in 24 shots?
