Q+A with Citizens of the world
1.) How did you find the experience of using the disposable camera? Enjoyable or painful?
Using the camera was easy but I can’t guarantee the shots will be any good.
2.) How did it make you feel not being able to see the photos as they were taken and not being able to edit or know what the photos turned out like?
There was definitely a sense of anxiety from not being able to edit the shots – especially the selfie you made us do. Everybody who used the camera had the same feeling.
3.) From your roll of film what was your fave image and why?
I haven’t seen them yet but I think I’ll like any of the shots of Dom and us behind the scenes at work. What we do is a pretty big part of our lives and it’s what gets us the most excited.
4.) Would you be interested in shooting another roll?
Yes!
5.) Is there anything else we could include or introduce to make the experience more interesting?
No, I like the simplicity of the project.
6.) Did you enjoy the aspect of shooting a selfie?
It was awkward. I’m scared of selfies..
7.) What did you think of the outcomes when you saw the final photos?
N/A
8.) Would you approach the concept differently if you had another go?
I’s put a lot more effort into the technical aspects of taking a great shot. I’m so used to just pointing and shooting (and editing later) that I’ve forgotten all the rules, such as ‘don’t stare into the sun’.
9.) Would you enter into the concept if it was set up in a competition format with prizes to be won?
Yes.
10.) Would you like to see your photos presented in a gallery exhibition environment.
Yes.
